☴☱ – Wind above, Lake below

Meaning

Represents the power of inner sincerity to transform and connect. Wind above the lake — the wind moves the surface of the water, inner truth moves others. Genuine sincerity penetrates even the hardest hearts. Like the crane calling to its young, a true call resonates across all distance.

Interpretation

Six Yao (Lines) with Classical Quotes

English: Inner quiet and openness — good fortune. Having other things is not restful. True sincerity comes from an empty, receptive inner space.

Luck Level: Good

English: The calling crane in the shade — its young responds. I have a fine cup of wine — I will share it with you. The resonance of genuine inner truth reaches across all distance and barrier.

Luck Level: Neutral

English: Finding one's counterpart — sometimes drumming, sometimes stopping; sometimes weeping, sometimes singing. The encounter of genuine inner truth creates intense and varied emotions.

Luck Level: Caution

English: The moon is nearly full — the horse companion is lost. No blame. At the peak of connection, sometimes the partner is released; this is natural and blameless.

Luck Level: Neutral

English: Holding sincerity as if bound — no blame. Inner truth that is firmly and completely held, like a binding, brings no fault.

Luck Level: Neutral

English: Cockcrow ascending to heaven — persistence brings misfortune. Announcing inner truth too loudly or in the wrong context; words that claim more than they can deliver.

Luck Level: Misfortune
