Meaning

Represents patience and the wisdom of timing. Danger lies ahead but the strength to face it is present. One must wait for the right moment rather than forcing premature action. Nourishment and preparation during the wait are essential.

Interpretation

Six Yao (Lines) with Classical Quotes

1st Yao (初爻)

需于郊,利用恒,无咎。

English: Waiting in the outskirts. It is beneficial to maintain constancy. No blame. Stay patient in the early stages, away from danger.

Luck Level: Neutral

2nd Yao (二爻)

需于沙,小有言,终吉。

English: Waiting on the sand. There is some criticism, but the outcome is good. Minor setbacks arise but ultimately things resolve well.

3rd Yao (三爻)

需于泥,致寇至。

English: Waiting in the mud, inviting danger to approach. Moving forward recklessly draws enemies closer. Caution is needed.

English: Entering the pit. Three uninvited guests arrive. Treat them with respect and the outcome is good. Unexpected help comes in crisis; receive it graciously.
